GLIMPS
GLIMPS is a Biolab based in Gent, Belgium that engage a strategic transition towards an open bio-based economy. They operate a novel approach across biology, design and architecture. Their research includes biomaterials, bio-inspired design methods and biofabrication technologies. Their mission is to help guide our society into a new era of production where objects get shaped by organisms. Their activities range from sustainable product design to creating experiential installations for exhibitions and developing educational strategies.

Biomaterials for design: biofabrication & design with Slime mold
You will learn to build and grown slime mold petri dish. In this workshop you will also get to know how to finish your dish at home (if needed), how to start growing your own future slime mold experiments, and receive a slime mold starter kit to continue experimenting at home.
Workshop process
After this workshop participants will go home with:
• Their own individually built and grown slime mold petri dish
• All they need to know to finish their dish at home (if needed)
• All they need to know to start growing their own future slime mold experiments
• A slime mold starter to continue experimenting at home
