Building objects using mushrooms (Mycelium) : general introduction

Using mushrooms (Mycelium) to build objects

Learn how to create objects with mushrooms (Mycellium). After this workshop you will go home with your own individually built and grown mycelium piece. You will also learn how to finish your piece at home, to start growing their own mycelium materials. You will also receive mycelium starter to grow your own materials at home

Replace plastic with Mycellium a naturally grown material. You will learn how to build your own cardboard mould, tips and tricks for making the mould, what a good mould consists of, usage of existing patterns and get explanations on how to work sterile.

Workshop process

Make and fill the mold

We will provide standard molds to make your plant pot. You can therefore take home your own pot to grow a plant and plant it with the pot. People who are not comfortable creating their own mold from scratch can use it.

After this workshop participants will go home with:
• Their own individually built and grown mycelium piece
• All they need to know to finish their piece at home
• All they need to know to start growing their own mycelium materials
