Deeply fascinated by the social mechanisms of contemporary culture, through interactions with new media and new technologies. Mathieu Zurstrassen is driven by the almost obsessive need to analyse the mechanisms of things and understand their inner workings, the approach generates hybrid works that offer a new perspective on society, a satirical metaphor, sometimes caustic and certainly shifted reality.
